Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance

Due to changes in the rules, we no longer offer travel insurance directly to our guests - however, it is essential to ensure that you are fully and properly insured for the holiday you are taking and we will ask you to confirm this to us as part of the booking process.  Many people have annual travel insurance and you must ensure this cover extends to your skiing holiday.  If you do need to purchase travel insurance, the following companies will be able to help you.

It is your responsibility to ensure you check the terms of the policies on offer to make sure they are suitable for your needs and for the travel arrangements you will be booking with us or with other suppliers - Ski Amis are unable to provide any advice is respect of insurance arrangements but each of these companies will be able to assist you.

Top-Up Insurance and Non-UK Residents

If you already have a travel insurance policy, and just require a top-up to cover the ski accident risk or you are a non-UK resident not able to take advantage of the policies above, then we can arrange 'carte neige' insurance with your ski passes.  This insurance covers you for the immediate medical attention required as a result of an accident on the piste and is only available  at the time you purchase your lift pass from us, it cannot be added later.  The insurance will arrange for your recovery from the piste and delivery to a medical centre but it is NOT a replacement for full travel and accident insurance.  With carte neige, you will be required to pay hospital, doctor and pharmacy bills yourself and whilst a portion of these may be recoverable using your EHIC or other medical insurance you will have to first pay the costs yourself and you may find that you cannot recover 100%.

Costs for carte neige are 2.70 euros per adult per day and 2.30 euros per child per day - please ask us when you book your lift pass if you wish to add this to your pass
