Les Menuires

A high resort at 1850m and part of the extensive Three Valleys area, this resort offers excellent snow conditions and local slopes to suit all abilities.  Great nightlife and non-ski activities add to it's attraction and although the old town centre has some unattractive buildings, the new developments in the surrounding villages including Les Bruyeres and Le Bettaix are fast changing the face of this great resort.

The resort is set at around the tree line with open slopes spread across the west facing mountainside between Les Menuires and St Martin de Belleville, and linking to Meribel and Val Thorens at various points.

Linking easily into the other Three Valleys resorts, the expanse of skiable area is vast.  The apres-ski is good with a choice of bars and nightclubs non-ski activites include an ice rink and a brand new sports centre with swimming pool, hammam, gym and a host of other activities.

The gondola lift from Les Bruyeres takes you to La Mont de la Chambre at 2800m - from this high point you can ski down into Val Thorens, Meribel or Les Menuires.  There are a number of great off-piste routes, including one which returns to Le Bettaix across La Masse.  The quaint town of St Martin de Belleville is also within easy reach and a great place to stop for lunch.

The ski school in Les Menuires consists of a large ESF school with good English speaking instructors and special classes operated for the English guests.  There is also the international school, SnowBow, who have a base in the village of Le Bettaix as well as in the main resort area.

Ski Amis in Les Menuires

We took on five brand new catered chalets in 2006 in the satellite village of "Les Bruyeres" which is a self contained village, just a short way from the centre of Les Menuires and just below Val Thorens.  Les Bruyeres is the home of the ice rink (which is next door to our chalets) and also has it's own heated outdoor pool and a nightclub as well as various other bars and restaurants.  The satellite village of Les Bruyeres is served by a regular shuttle bus service all day into Les Menuires.

For 2007, we have now taken on an additional six brand new chalets in the village of "Le Bettaix" which is a pretty, traditional village just below Les Menuires, between the main resort and St Martin de Belleville.  The village has easy access to the rest of the area via a short chair-lift and has it's own ski school, ski shop, restaurants and creche.

We are also expanding our Les Menuires programme with the addition of self catered apartments and studios throughout the resort including the lower village of St Martin de Belleville.

Chalets de Bruyeres - 5 ski-in/ski-out catered chalets next to each other, each sleeping between 12 and 16 people
Chalets de Bettaix - six adjacent individual catered chalets each sleeping either 8-10 or 12-14 people
Self catered apartments and studios from 2-10 people in Les Menuires
