Resort Information - Val Cenis

Val Cenis is situated in the Maurienne Valley and is composed of three villages �€� Lanslebourg, Lanslevillard and Termignon �€� with skiing to suit all abilities including 1500m of vertical drop for those who prefer the more extreme. A relatively unknown and non commercialised resort, Val Cenis started it�€�s history as early as 218BC when Hannibal and his elephants crossed the Alps into Italy via Mont Cenis. Today, it is a beautiful tourist area with great skiing and all the facilities you would expect in a ski resort but still able to offer low prices whilst boasting accommodation of all styles. All of the apartments in Val Cenis are located around the foot of the pistes which make it even more accessible to those who want to get the most out of skiing without a long mountain hike to start of their day.

Not only does this resort offer a varied ski area of 125km, but it also offers those activities that the not so keen skier would be interested in. From �€�Ski Taxi�€�s�€� and Paragliding to Husky Dogs, ice rinks and breath taking architecture, Val Cenis has something to offer everyone.

Our accommodation in Val Cenis is on a self catered basis and we have apartments available to suit everybody from those requiring disabled access to those wanting the luxury of saunas and jacuzzis. We also have a selection of self catered properties to offer throughout the whole resort.

Getting There

By Road

Val Cenis has easy access by road and is approximately 600 miles (975km) from Calais - all but the last 20kms is by motorway or dual carriageway. We provide comprehensive directions to our self drive guests and can offer ferry or Eurotunnel crossings to supplement your holiday.

By Rail

There are regular TGV services from Paris to Modane which can link with the Eurostar service from the UK to Paris. Once at Modane, there is a bus service to transport you the 24km to the resort. We are able to offer a booking service for your rail tickets to supplement your holiday.

By Air

The nearest airports are Chambery, Turin or Grenoble all of which are served by a number of UK budget arlines, charter and scheduled services. Approximate transfer times are:

Chambery - 1.5 hours
Turin - 2 hours
Grenoble - 2 hours
Lyon - 2.5 hours
Geneva - 3 hours
